I love dogs!, this love came from my mom, who was always helping and feeding dogs (and all other animals, and also human beings!!!) that were in need...
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion. -- Author Unknown

The greatest love is a mother's; then a dog's; then a sweetheart's. ~Polish Proverb

If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience. ~Woodrow Wilson

I talk to him when I'm lonesome like; and I'm sure he understands. When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught thereat. For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that. ~W. Dayton Wedgefarth

The average dog is a nicer person than the average person. ~Andy Rooney

The pug is living proof that God has a sense of humor. ~Margo Kaufman

Ok, ok....let's kiss sister too!!!:-)

And this one is in my mom's honor: (wink!)

The more people I meet the more I like my dog. -- Author Unknown

Naima's Portrait
It has been an honor to take Naima's Pictures. She is a very beautiful girl, inside and out! She has a heart of gold, always helping the one in need. You will see that she is a really gorgeous girl, but let me tell you that her spirit is much more beautiful...
Is that really possible?...Well, yes it is!
She also has the kind of chameleonic beauty that as an artist I find very interesting!...You will see that she can project different looks in her portraits!

And I have to say we both agree on this...Nothing like wine and a photo-shoot session to made a couple of girls great friends!:-)
Thank you Naima!

"What you see is only a small percentage of what is inside of every individual"

What a beautiful, good, bad, painful, miraculous, wonderful, scary, crazy year the one is leaving us! so much to be thankful for, so much to regret....

So much hurt, and pain and loneliness, and so much life, and sweetness, love, friendship and many, many miracles...

I owe this year two births: my beautiful baby Lauren, my personal bitter-sweet huge miracle and little hero that came into my life to rescue me from the burden of nostalgic and painful, even destructive mourning. I had to stand up and fight for my little girl's life, to keep her healthy, to keep her safe...and God knows that those scary moments gave me a miraculous strengh that I have never felt before. The second birth is this absolute overwhelming love for Photography, which keeps me focused and eager to learn, to discover, and to create.

These pictures taken the last day of 2009, processed at the same moment of the begining of 2010, (thanks Taty) want to express the beauty of loneliness and silence, of being alive, in the constant trip to our own self discovery. Even when we feel scared, sad, in pain, or rejected, it is all worth it, every single minute of our lifes, every feeling, every experience, even the painful ones are miracles, every breath we take is one...maybe not a miracle for ourselves (sometimes we are so bussy we can't perceive it), but maybe a miracle for someone else, that is the beauty of love (the biggest miracle of all).

New Year Resolution:

-live

- stop surviving, and just live!

-be more thankful (for the little tiny-everyday-usually-taken-for-granted-kinda-things)

-laugh more

-live....

Ana Maria

(A few days ago I found this prayer in a letter that my mom wrote in 2001...it brought tears to my eyes, a smile in my face, and a deeptly thankful heart!...needed to share this prayer with all of you!)

I found a tiny tan loveseat on Thanksgiving day...I couldn't resist thinking of the fun pictures I was going to take for baby Alex laying on it....I bought it thanks to my in-laws b-day gift!...Thanks Barb and Dave!

These cute photos were inspired by the little tan loveseat...so cute, that even Leah Marie couldn't resist possing for me...and that is a huge honor that I don't get very often!

I am proud to present the first pictures of baby Alex, Krystal's son. He is just too cute for words!

And here are some photos of my little divas on the now famous little tan loveseat!

This beautiful young lady is Jen. I have known her since she was a little girl (she was my Art/Spanish student in elementary school!), and it is amazing to me that she is now transformed into a beautiful teenager!...It has been an honor to me to take pictures of her, and also an honor to take pictures of her 4 legged daughter Desi. What a super fun evening we had! And as you see, the Arizona sunset gave a wonderful warmth to this collection!

You have come into the world so tiny, Yet with such great promise for the future. Before you were even born,God planned wonderful things for you.As you are baptised,May you feel His love And the love of those around you, And may you always follow in His way.

I needed to try my lights on a white dress for a First Communion portrait session, and I had the great idea of getting my baby all dressed up in her beautiful Baptism gown, and take a couple pictures of her....It was a 2 minute session, and these are the results...!
